BESTIARY

We need help gathering images of creatures that are currently housed or kept in the stables, roaming the grounds, or native Paradisa creatures already encountered in-game. We'll fill in the rest! You can use the form below and drop the information in a comment. Thanks! ♥

BESTIARY

STABLES

The stables are home to creatures of varying origin but predominantly creatures from residents' home worlds. While many creatures come and go, here are some that have remained for quite some time and can be seen with a visit to the on-grounds stables.

CASTLE GROUNDS/SURROUNDING AREA

It's been said that the world is void of natural life, but this is not entirely true. Much like anyone who sets foot in the castle, they can sense that something is not quite right. Some animals don't mind or can't sense this, and these are the animals that are most likely to be spotted.

NAME
DESCRIPTION
Alcaeus
(Tentacruel)
This squid-like creature resides in the duck pond. He seems very mellow and relatively tame, showing a special interest in Percy Jackson. However, he is not above smacking people who irritate him.
Bears Mishka, Rykov, Chihanchka and 30 other bears The reserve is a-ways behind the castle, and is open for viewings. The polar bears live in a special habitat inside, and all the others sort of roam free in a massive fenced-in area.
Blacky
(Shadow)
A small, black blob like creature with little arms and yellow eyes that can only communicate in shrieks and chirps. Able to float. Very tame and mellow, but will run away if attacked. Originally from the TV World, it was previously Adachi's pet, but now roams the castle area.
Brian
(Terror Bird)
A Terror Bird brought back from the Totem Coast by James Watson. Presently in an enclosure near the woods and is just as dangerous as the others found.
California

Velociraptor from the Jurassic Park plot, released into the forest some time ago.
Cujo
(Ghost Dog)
The ghost of a guard dog from the world of Danny Phantom. Nicknamed Cujo by Danny, he spends most of his time behaving like any other overly energetic puppy. Easily distracted by squeaky toys and well trained to follow basic commands. When upset he grows to a much larger and more threatening size. Usually seen around the castle grounds..
Duck Ordinary, run-of-the-mill duck that resides in the duck pond. They fly south for the winter when the pond freezes over.
Giant Squid Pink squid that lives in the duck pond.
Grey Wind

Jonesy and Pickles
(Alligators)
Two small alligators residing in the duckpond. They go into the forest during winter. Seem worryingly tame.
Luxray A strange blue lion with electrical power, this Pokemon is skittish around humans and prefers staying near the woods.
Moony
(Werewolf/Resident)
Large, hairy, can be found in the woods on the full moon. With recent events he can control himself now, so he is mostly harmless, but if he hasn't taken a wolfsbane potion he is very dangerous and acts entirely on predatory instinct. Approach with caution.
Nymeria
(Direwolf)
5'1" not counting ears, can rip a man's arm off if she feels like it, and has a taste for human. From Westeros.
Racoon Hangs out by Brock's cabin.
Sandile Although it looks like a small crocodile, the Pokemon prefers sandy areas and warm weather. It's very aggressive and will fight any who get close.

DEAD ZONE

The "natural" wildlife of Nostros. These creatures can be found all across the continent, but they tend to avoid roaming close to Paradisa.

NAME
DESCRIPTION
??? Giant deer encountered on the Lente's Point expedition. Found in the Blossom Drifts region.
??? Horse-like creatures. Their bodies are bulkier and more muscular, standing at 6', and their coats are a sheeny turquoise with assorted white markings and a lion-like white mane. Very friendly, but easy to spook. Can be tamed and ridden with a lot of time and effort. Found in the Blossom Drifts region.
??? Buffalo. They roam much of the grassland outside of Paradisa. Worrying if you turn them inside out they turn out to be humanoid. WTFOalo indeed.
??? Cougars who roam the grasslands between Paradisa and Winchester/Fairfield. They will hunt anything that comes their way, and have the ability to turn invisible while stalking.
??? Found during the expedition to Mineas Well. During the day these strange creatures resemble fruit - little organic "bulbs" of glowing red energy, giving off a biological warmth, soft to the touch with skin and flesh that can be bruised and burst. But then midnight rolls around, and under the full moon, they stretch out, wiggling out of hands and bags, morphing into long, tubal shapes of various other animals. Like a wire animated, capable of live and biological functions despite its bent, tubular body and its glow. At least one was brought back to the castle by Raine Sage. It may still be wandering around somewhere.
??? Small, spotted lions. Roam the grasslands surrounding Terre Haute. Generally nervous of people.
??? Very long limbed antelope. Roam the grasslands surrounding Terre Haute.
??? Enormous whales. Live in the eastern sea of Nostos.
Flying Fish Small, rainbow coloured fish who can fly above the water. Found in the rivers and canals that make up Lastlook. Edible.
Terror Birds Giant birds from the Miocene. They live in the forests near the Totem Coast and have the Jurassic Park symbol of John Hammond branded onto their legs. Very dangerous, will attack with little provocation.
