CHARACTER NAME: Paige Elisbeth Guthrie, AKA Husk
FANDOM: Marvel, Age of Apocalypse
CANON: During Paige's imprisonment after being outgunned in the Core. For Paige she has been back in her reality for a matter of months, not the years she has been absent from Paradisa.
LINK TO PREVIOUS APPLICATION: Husk Original Bio
PARADISA HISTORY: True to form, Paige was as much a firecracker here as she was back home. She met being spat into Paradisa with all the gumption and ferocity she'd possess if she were on a mission with her team-mates. Unfortunately that digressed into an awful lot of shenanigans as the concept of being safe settled in. She didn't cross the paths of many, because her exposure to Paradisa was incredibly brief. Namely she encountered an alternate-reality version of a team-mate whom she attached herself to, despite their complete lack of knowledge as to who she was. Unfortunately for Chamber, that meant that Paige only tried harder. And harder. It wasn't well received. Aside from being of an attention-demanding disposition, Paige, during her stay at Paradisa was constantly haunted by the unknown that was the fate of her team-mates. She pushed back the nagging suspicion that they had been killed and, every so often, the rage that built with this suppression was taken out on Chamber.
Beyond this, Paige's impacts were, largely, making other residents feel nauseous with her completely incredible ( in her mind) ability to shed her own skin, which she liked to leave just about everywhere. She had run-ins of brief stints with other residents, many of which resulted in them being 'grossed out' by her. Thankfully this has never taken the wind from her sails.
She found her rhythm with Paradisa, settling into the strange community set-up that allowed her to explore and enjoy without having to constantly watch her back. Admittedly she became complacent; how was she expected to keep up the pace when there was no-one snapping at her heels? She would deny putting on a little puppy fat but that muffin-top reared its ugly head. Just to keep things interesting however, Paradisa tripped her every so often with the unexpected things it liked to throw at residents. Paige was tortured (in her mind) by a miserable, waxy baby that nested (yes, nested, it was that awful) in her hair. That's something she isn't likely to forget and to this day, feels that she can husk and husk but she will never be clean.
She survived being thrown off a roof, too; if she could take only one thing from Paradisa, it is to not practice new forms on rooftops. She knew, knew that she would not be able to accomplish flight from one sitting but she did it anyway and was tossed from the roof by one Damian Wayne for her efforts. Some quick, adrenalin fuelled husking saved her life that night.
For all her husking, it became clear as her time rolled on, that her carefree skin-peeling lifestyle was as much to the dislike of the Castle as it was to the residents. Paige had a persistent demand for clothing; the term 'wish' being severely abused for the duration of her stay. She would go through anything up to a dozen outfits a day, destroying them each with a single Husk (well, it would raise a few too many eyebrows for her to strip down before she did it, wouldn't it?). Her persistent abuse of this generosity was brought to the forefront dramatically. After husking into a water-form when she bathed (it was much more enjoyable experience like that), Paige had her first loss. She was unable to husk back into human, or any form. Every attempt resulted in more water. She left puddles all over the castle, some large, some small and negligible. It generated some panic in the other residents too, as liquid can travel through the journals. Paige entered the journals, rooms and, in one instance, the noses of other residents amidst her panic. After that particularly unpleasant event, Paige was a little more considerate about the volume of things she asked Paradisa for. She even cut down on the beer.
She was torn out of Paradisa unexpectedly. It had not been an above-average day; something pushed her more and more to spend time in the library there, and it is the library she was in, surrounded by open books, when she was removed. Naturally, the mess she left behind stayed where it was.
WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY LOST: Their original loss was memory-based. Paige lost all memory of Colossus completely; he was her team leader and her mentor, a man who, in his own, aggressive way, pushed her to become the talented mutant she is today. In addition to this Paige has no idea that her siblings, Sam, Josh and Elizabeth all survived Apocalypse's attack on her family. Without this, Paige has no realistic collection of events that brought her to where she was before she was pulled out. She also carries losses heavily that she didn't have to.
SECOND LOSS: Paige has lost her ability to morph into gaseous forms. In connection to this, her ability to shed her skin into any fluid form, such as liquid, energy or fire, have been dampened. She can still achieve them but they are unstable forms, often being unpredictable.
INTENT: I'm not sure what my aim is with Paige; to get the muse flexing again and see what crops up. Paige is, however, going to be incredibly grateful to have returned, given the hell she came back from.

CHARACTER NAME: Castiel
FANDOM: Supernatural
CANON: Very near the end of 9.23, which is the season finale. Castiel has just smashed the angel tablet, bringing his main enemy--Metatron--back to normal angel status and therefore defeatable. This is a high point for him, before everything goes downhill at the end of the episode. (This is about a season after the point when he came into Paradisa the first time.)
LINK TO PREVIOUS APPLICATION: Here!
PARADISA HISTORY: Castiel didn't end up doing a whole lot at Paradisa in the grand scheme of things, but he did have several adventures and a bit of character development. First and foremost he had to learn to be human, with the added challenge of being in another world and without his voice; Meg helped him greatly, and he soon adapted. He kept to himself mostly, for quite awhile, both because he's naturally a bit of a loner and because he knew he was vulnerable while human, but eventually began meeting new people and being more outgoing through the journals.
Unfortunately, that came to an end quickly when Meg's conflicts with Silva escalated, and Castiel was caught in the middle of it. It took some time for Castiel to recover from the injuries he sustained in the entire ordeal and he closed off again, keeping to himself mostly until he ended up returning home.
Specific events include:
• His arrival in Paradisa was during the Tokyo event and he quickly ran into Meg, who was a friend--or more--from his world. Castiel is generally very adaptable and so it wasn't terribly stressful to end up in another world and he figured out the basics very quickly. However, he was newly mortal, and ended up spending awhile to himself to get used to managing a sleep schedule, eating, etc.
• Not long after, Castiel attempted a world-hopping spell that he knew from his world. It... Really didn't work, and ended up depositing him somewhat hilariously into the Castle's pool. He met several people this way, and began getting to know a few. The experience also made him curious about what might need to be altered in a spell to actually make it work, and why it didn't.
• Castiel was affected fully by the Hogwarts event, his history changing to that of an auror that had retired after being injured (explaining away his lack of voice). He taught Ancient Runes, and met a few more people through having a shared 'history' and therefore essentially 'knowing' them for some time.
• Castiel took part in the Gentlemen, Names, and Florence events, but didn't do anything particularly noteworthy
except be grumpy as usual.• Meg and Silva had a conflict on or around Halloween, and it lead to Silva making a plan to get revenge on Meg. This involved using Castiel as bait, and was a bit of a traumatizing experience; Castiel has had a lot worse, but it was the first really violent experience he had a human and even more, it involved someone he really cares about. He also felt incredibly responsible for letting his guard down around Silva in the first place, and it really made him closed off and wary of just about everyone for awhile.
• He was present for a few more events afterward, but wasn't really involved.
His previous experiences in Paradisa will make him a little less enthused about the place than he was before; he has things he needs to do at home, and he doesn't have a lot of patience for events and the losses Paradisa takes. He'll be a lot more interested in leaving than he was before, as when he was there before things were actually pretty good compared to at home. They're still probably better than in his world, but he has responsibilities in his world now that he didn't have before.
WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY LOST: His voice. Clearly this made communication a little difficult, but at the same time it made him reach out more through the journals since writing (or in rare cases, sign language) was the only way for him to talk to people.
SECOND LOSS: Because Castiel is now an angel again, he has several powers. His second loss will be a major one of them, which is his self-healing/invulnerability; without it he'll heal like a human, and be killable through normal means. This is a big loss as far as his sense of security goes, and ties into some of the issue that came up while in game before about feeling vulnerable.
INTENT: Now that I have more time to put into things, Castiel can really go about trying to figure out a way out and sticking his nose into everything. He's also a bit more confident in himself and has more experience in being a leader, and actually doing some things right for once. That'll help balance some of the damage done to his confidence in Paradisa and get him more willing to meet and talk to people.
Also, in canon, his grace is failing him and he's (slowly) deteriorating; it's said he'll eventually die when it burns out. It seems to be a very slow process, but it's something that will be in the back of his mind in game and might end up being played with a bit.

CURRENT CHARACTERS: n/a
CHARACTER NAME: Thranduil Oropherion (The Elvenking)
FANDOM: Tolkien's Legendarium
CANON: Immediately after interrogating the uncooperative Thorin
LINK TO PREVIOUS APPLICATION: A woodland king was there with a crown of leaves
PARADISA HISTORY: Thranduil arrived during Kissmas, and thus his first experience with the castle was that of his free will being hijacked as he was compelled to kiss others, among these both his son and Galadriel, which was mildly traumatising. Welcome to the castle, your majesty. Partially as a result of this he promptly moved out of the castle and into the surrounding forest, where he took up in a cavern and began to make it more homelike with a combination of wishes and some work, though he could not equal the craft of even his home, pale shadow that it is of Menegroth. This helped him avoid some trouble, but far from all - not long after the Stepford plot kicked in, and once again his mind was messed with. This time he thought he was married to Galadriel, and that Will Stanton and Legolas were their children.
After this came Christmas - Galadriel explained the custom when he had no idea what was going on and what was up with the gifts, and because he was newly arrived he didn't get much from other characters. The castle did, however, give him a white fawn from Mirkwood, which he ended up keeping as a pet for a variety of reasons. It also gave Legolas a barrel of fine elvish wine the size of a motorcycle, which was great because it facilitated the ability to have some decent parties. He and Legolas were afterwards briefly turned into My Little Pony style alicorns, wherein Legolas spent a deal of time running around and Thranduil was too dignified to do the same because he kept tripping when he was thrown off balance by the suddenly huge pair of wings he had sticking out of his back, or the tail that kept getting tangled around his hooves, though thankfully this didn't last long. Shortly before all this, Galadriel underwent an age loss, and reverted to Artanis, her younger self. Thranduil... actually ended up getting along with Artanis far better than expected. He tried to help and look after her, despite his relationship with Galadriel having been... strained up until this point, which was also the beginning of a better understanding between the two of them.
Eventually Thranduil did move back into his rooms, unnerved by the malevolent silence of all of the native animals and trees, though he wasn't entirely comfortable in the castle either. He was trying to figure out how to handle it, and whether he should stay, when he ultimately was dropped - but before this could happen, Legolas got an age loss as well, and spent a while running around as a toddler. He was a handful as a child, which hadn't changed, and nearly got himself in a fair amount of trouble, though luckily there were not horse-sized spiders wandering around outside trying to eat stray elflings. Just many tall bookcases etc to climb. Finally, shortly before he was dropped, and and Galadriel were again paired, this time to raise the tiny unicorn that the Castle had given them during the baby plot. Also around this time he ended up throwing a feast to celebrate the springtime, drawing from Legolas's supply of wine. This mortals were warned off, because it is extremely potent, but there was other alcohol there as well. What's underage drinking?
He didn't actually change too much in his time in Paradisa, particularly because he wasn't there very long and elves are very slow in change of their persons - I mean they're immortal, they aught to be. He did, however, begin to get along a great deal better with Galadriel, who first provided him information on the castle, and who he then began to understand somewhat better than he had before as she was shoved at him in multiple events, and he met her at a younger age, and began to see more of her. More even than this was the fact that it was ultimately Galadriel who told him what became of his son - namely that he joined the Fellowship and went marching off to Mordor, which was basically about the worst thing he could imagine, but also that Legolas was supposed to have survived, though he's not sure he can belive that so easily, especially not unscarred. He also had begun making friends with other members of the castle, and might even have something less of a heart attack next time he encounters a dragon, though it would be difficult to top his first meeting, where he was pretty convinced the entire time that he was about to die.
WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY LOST: His wedding ring, precious memento of his wife - who I headcanon as having died a long time ago, leaving the ring as one of the few things he has left of her.
SECOND LOSS: He's losing his magic elvish immune system, leaving him able to get sick. Obviously, for a being who has never gotten sick in some 6500 and counting years of life, this is a pretty huge deal.
INTENT: I miss him, and I think I want to see if I can navigate him into something more of a king again than I had him last time.
