If you are applying for a character you reserved recently, please put 'Reserved Character - ( Character Name )' on the subject line.

Applications take on average 3-7 days, depending on how accessible canon is. If a revision is requested for your application, you have 72 hours to make the noted revisions. If after 72 hours revisions are not made, the application will be declined and must be resubmitted.

THIRD-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE: There are many things Captain Marvel is used to. Alien invasions, megalomaniac mutants, time travel, alternate realities... these are all ordinary occurrences. She can't count on both hands the number of times she's found herself lost in some foreign land with no idea how to get home-- she would need more hands for that. So, when she blinks and finds herself not traversing the heliosphere but another skyline in another world entirely, she wonders if she has to get her powers checked. She knew her strength hadn't quite reached its peak, but she didn't know she had to start worrying about her flight--

Wait a minute. Even at her fastest, she's pretty damn sure that she couldn't travel to another planet in a circumstellar habitable zone (some couple trillion miles away) in the blink of an eye. And as accustomed to these things as she is, she also knows there's something missing-- a gap in her memory that wasn't there before. She'd had her memories siphoned from her, she's had her memories destroyed by deadly lesions... she and that feeling of emptiness are old friends. To put it lightly, there's something not quite right.

Met with resistance when she tries to go back the way she came, she's left with no other choice but to descend towards the vision of paradise. As beautiful as the place is, she knows damn well that looks can be deceiving. She goes into it expecting it to be a trap, but she is not afraid. "Afraid" isn't even in her vocabulary.

Her first thought isn't to call Steve, or Tony, or anyone on the Avengers. She's doing her own thing. She's going to barge right on into that palace and demand answers, even if she has to punch them out of people. When she took to the skies in search of herself, she hadn't expected this. But it's fine. It's fine, as long as Jessica or Burke remember to feed her cat.

She is Captain Marvel. She calls this Monday.


FIRST-PERSON JOURNAL SAMPLE:

DICTATION;

[ A land claiming itself to be paradise... and not a single hot dog stand in sight. She would have stayed in New York if she knew this was what was waiting for her out in space. ]

So this is it, huh? I refuse to believe that this is the end of the line for me. Moreover, I refuse to be chained down.

The funny thing is, I wouldn't have even taken it personally were I the only one brought here. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself.

[ Her teeth grit as she glares down at her book. No one can see her, but that doesn't matter. No one needs to to know how serious she is. ]

The second you involve the innocent, I make it personal. I will find you and you will tell me why you're doing this. And if you don't?

I'll make you.

INTENT: I love playing heroes! I've grown up with them and enjoy playing them now. Carol's one of my favorite Marvel characters next to Rogue. Carol's story is pretty dang tragic when you dip into her past, but especially so when you consider her most recent sacrifice in canon that made her lose all of her memories. I really want to work with that in Paradisa, and have her make new friendships and alliances, and just generally be someone people can rely on when in need.
